Our colleague Haroon Sheikh was recently interviewed by Filosofie Magazine about his recently published book “De opkomst van het Oosten” (The rise of the East). In the book Haroon states that the Atlantic era has ended. When questioned about the meaning of this he said: “When I say that this is now coming to an end, I mean not only the Western economic hegemony, but also the inequality that accompanied it”.
